About PawPrint Trials, me, and my dogs
I've been involved in dog training and dog shows since I was 5 years old.
I started in Obedience and now compete in Conformation, Obedience, Agility, Herding and Tracking. As a fellow agility enthusiast, I bring to you not only a professional edge, but a personal dedication to the events that I champion for you.
I currently own 3 collies Peyton, Sequel and Chapter!! Though we no longer have Poet, he was the dog that made a forever difference in my life and integral to the creation of PawPrint Trials. And my little monkey, Maestro, was the first chapter in understanding not all dogs learn the same way. Suede followed in Maestro's pawprints and was my first MACH dog. He learned in yet still another way.
I am a member of:
- LEAP Agility Club (http://www.leapagility.com)
- Collie Club of America (http://www.collieclubofamerica.org)
- The first Agility Delegate to the AKC, representing LEAP Agility Club.
I have been a Trial Secretary since 1997-back in the days when we only had one ring and 100 entries if we were lucky. Back in the days when we received ribbons in the ring from the judge, between classes. Before computers were used for scorekeeping and trailers provided safe haven from the elements! Back in the day, the ONLY indoor trials was the November Cluster!
I have secretaried a variety of events from just 34 entries for the Silky Terrier National to the November Cluster with 1800 runs to the 2000 AKC National Agility Championships. For over 20 years, PawPrint Trials has secretaried the largest AKC Agility trials in the country.

It takes a village!
In 2000, when PawPrint Trials was in it's infancy, I met Joanne Barden. She helped me build PawPrint Trials but unfortunately, passed away. I now am lucky to have Rose, Trudy, Chris and Jocelyn working for my New England trials. In New York, we have Wendy and Bev handling things.
Special Thank You to Lesley Mattuchio for taking such beautiful photos!
